COVID-19 UPDATE – May 20, 2020
With the “Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan” underway, we want to inform our members of our plans to re-open Edam Credit Union for in-branch services. On behalf of our Board of Directors and staff, we would like to thank our members for their patience working with us through closed doors over the past couple months. We want to continue to do what we can to reduce the spread of COVID-19, while continuing to serve the needs of our members. Therefore, we will be opening our doors for in-branch services using a phased approach, and with strict physical distancing guidelines in place. We will continue to monitor the situation, and make changes and adapt our plans as appropriate and as outlined by government and health regulations.
WE WILL RE-OPEN FOR IN-BRANCH SERVICES USING A PHASED APPROACH
Starting Tuesday, June 2, 2020, Edam Credit Union will open its doors for in-branch services. During our initial re-opening phase in-branch services will be limited to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, and the following measures will be in place to ensure the health and safety of our staff and members:
PHYSICAL DISTANCING: All members must maintain a distance of 6 feet at all times while visiting the office. Please be aware and respectful of physical distancing barriers at all times. We also ask that you only proceed to member service offices when called on.
MEMBER CAPACITY: There will be a limited number of members allowed in the branch at a time.
ATM lobby: 2 people maximum
Branch lobby waiting area: 2 members at a time
SANITATION: Before entering, you MUST use the hand sanitizer provided at the entrance.
ADDITIONAL CLEANING & PRECAUTIONS: Each station will be disinfected between members. Please be patient and stay back while our staff clean the area, and again, only proceed to member service offices when called on. We also ask that you please keep the pen used to complete your transaction.
ONLY VISIT THE BRANCH WHEN NECESSARY
For your safety and ours, we continue to ask that you only visit us in person when necessary. When you do, please maintain physical distancing and use the hand sanitizer provided. We recommend that each household designate one person to come in to do financial transactions, and that all paperwork is ready for your transaction when you arrive. If you are not feeling well, or have recently travelled, do NOT visit Edam Credit Union. Call us, and we can make arrangements with you to conduct your business.
We continue to encourage members to use and access our many remote and electronic banking options as much as possible, including our ATM, Night Deposit, Online Banking, Mobile App, Deposit Anywhere, Interac® e-Transfer service, Telephone, and DocuSign to electronically sign your documents. Message from our General Manager, Ross Houston - March 16, 2020
Edam Credit Union recognizes the growing concern around the COVID-19 virus and the unease many are facing. Our main priorities are keeping our members, employees and their families safe while maintaining our service to you.
In the face of this crisis, we are changing how we serve our members. Effective March 20th at 1pm, Edam Credit Union will temporarily suspend all In-Branch Services.
We understand your concerns and will continue to provide access to necessary banking services. Although our doors will not be open to the public, we will have staff available to answer your calls and process transactions.
We ask that you use online banking, mobile apps or our ATM network to perform your day to day transactions such as depositing cheques, paying bills, and account inquiries. Alternative methods and actions we will be implementing include:
Using our night deposit to drop off cheques and bill payments for processing. (Our staff will be processing these transactions regularly throughout the day.)
Waiving fees for phone transactions.
Working with our personal, farm and business members on a case-by-case basis to help our members manage through this challenging time.
Reaching out to our key community organizations, business & consumer members to reduce impacts of this temporary change in service.
Phone interviews for your investment, lending and other advisory service needs.
Please call (306.397.2242) and we will work with you to meet your financial needs. We anticipate increased call volumes, so please be patient.
These platforms are a safe and convenient way of banking but more importantly, banking this way allows us to practice what’s been asked of us all – social distancing. Rest assured, we’re here for you – Just in a different way.
