How do I download the mobile app?

For iPhone®users:

  1. Using your iPhone®, search for “Edam Credit Union” in the App Store

  2. Select the app icon, and verify that the author of the app is Edam Credit Union

  3. Tap the icon marked “Free”, then tap again when it changes to “Install”

For Android™users:

  1. Using your Android™, search for “Edam Credit Union” on Google Play™

  2. Select the app icon, and verify that the author of the app is Edam Credit Union

  3. Tap the icon marked “Install”, then tap “Accept” in the next screen

 

Check balances in a flash with QuickView

Now you can browse selected account balances on the go, even before you’ve logged in.

Just activate the QuickView feature in the app and a single tap of the screen will keep you in the know.

 

Privacy and Security

It’s our priority to keep you information safe, which is why our mobile app uses the same high level of security as our online banking website.

Version 13 Mobile App Udate (March 2018):

**Depending on your device settings, your mobile app may be updated automatically or you may have to visit the App Store or Google Play on your device and complete the update.

We are excited to announce that Version 13 of our Apple iOS and Android app are now available! It will fix bugs, provide performance improvements and introduce new features.

The new features for this version are:

  • Touch ID enabled for supported Apple devices.  Members can now login using their fingerprint after setup.

    • When you launch the V13 app for the first time a pop-up message will appear to let you know that Touch ID is now available in the app and can be setup by going to ‘Settings’.  Click OK.

    • Login via your Personal Access Code (PAC)

    • Go to Settings.  Tap on Touch ID.  Please remember that Touch ID is only available for Apple products.

    • Once the member clicks on this option for the first time, they are presented with Touch ID terms and conditions. The member needs to accept these to proceed. Accept the Agreement.

    • Enable the Touch Login by sliding the button to the right.  A caution message will be displayed, tap on "Enable Touch Login".

    • As an additional security measure you will then be required to enter and save your PAC to complete the Touch ID login setup .  If the PAC is correct then the Touch ID will be enabled for the member and member is returned to the setup page. 

    • The next time you login the Touch ID message prompting you to use your fingerprint to login will be displayed.  Make sure to scan the finger that is setup on your device for a successful login.

Important Touch ID notes

  • Touch ID is only available on devices that support Touch ID. Supported devices include iPhone 5s or later, iPad (5th generation) iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3 or later. 

  • Once Touch ID is enabled, any fingerprint that is stored on the device can be used to login into the accounts. Always make sure that touch ID is enabled on devices that belong to you.

  • Touch ID aka biometric login is linked to the PAC of the member. Hence when the member changes/updates their PAC, next time when they login they will be prompted the Touch ID screen but will be directed to the PAC page. This is an additional security measure to make sure that when there are changes with the account login information it is updated. On subsequent attempts the member can login using Touch ID and they do not need to enable touch ID again. 

  • When the member adds or deletes a fingerprint from the device, on the next time they login, they will be prompted to enter their PAC first as a security measure. The member can continue to login using Touch ID on subsequent attempts. 

  • Landscape and portrait mode for tablets

  • Enhanced Search and Filter screens

  • Forced/3D Touch enabled for supported Apple devices

     

FAQ about our mobile app:

 

Do I pay anything?

Absolutely not. The Edam Credit Union Mobile App is free for our members to download, and you will never be charged for using the app. However, since the mobile app uses data, your carrier may charge, so standard data and messaging rates may apply.

 

What is QuickView?

The unique QuickView feature displays the balances of your selected accounts at any time the app is open, without needing to login first.

 

Does the QuickView feature automatically display my balances?

The default setting of the QuickView feature is “Off”. You can turn on Quickview under Settings/Preferences on the mobile app.

 

Will the mobile app work if I have a shared or joint account?

Yes. Just enter your account details as you normally would.

 

If my phone is lost or stolen, will my information be at risk?

Your account can only be accessed by entering your personal access code. However, if you’re activated the QuickView feature, your account balances will be visible. For additional security, we recommend you keep your iPhone®password protected. Please note: at any time, you can stop the mobile app from accessing your account information by unpairing it on our banking website. As a rule, you should contact your mobile carrier right away to deactivate your phone. You may also change your personal access code by contacting us at (306)397-2242.

 

How do I remove the app from my device?

For iPhone®users: Removing the app is as easy as tapping and holding your finger down on the Edam Credit Union Mobile App icon, then tapping the “X” in the top right corner.

For Android®users: If you’ve installed an app on your phone or tablet using Google Play that you no longer want, you can uninstall it by following these steps:

  1. Visit your device’s Settings menu>Apps or Application manager (this may differ depending on your device)

  2. Touch the app you’d like to uninstall

  3. Select Uninstall

Ability to receive alerts as notifications on iOS and Android devices - you will find the "notifications" option within the alerts icon under "settings"
